Rajkumar Shinge
23.05.12 17.06.12
On May 23rd, the Communications exhibition by the Indian artist Raj Shinge began. He worked with the fresco technique on artisan paper from his country as well as with earthy pigments brought from India.
Rajkumar displays in his work all the technical knowledge as well as an amazing synthesis of experiences and observations from his travels that he treasures in his memory. These works are exhibited as immense papyri, cave paintings, fragments of ancient lands manifest stories of the evolution of civilization. The materials that the artist used to carry out his work seem already loaded with knowledge and historicity, which Shinge knows how to use in order to construct his work. It contains multiple layers of sense and meaning.
