Palimpsest [2]
02.02.15 11.02.15
The second intervention in ‘ace‘s terrace, within the Palimpsest Project, was from another collective that consisted of two female artists from Toronto, Canada.
Buck Teeth Girls Club (Andrea Manica Melissa Luk) is a mural collective interested in creating artwork in outdoor, non-exclusive settings. Inspired by other female graffiti artists (Hanky Panky Girls crew from Toulouse, France; Margaret Kilgallen of Beautiful Losers; Maya Hayuk), their images focus on representing femininity and delicacy in a manner that retains sauciness.
Previous murals from the project are varied, from an industrial aesthetic -Felipe García (Colombia)- to a balanced relation of geometric and organic shapes- Kiik Create-. We believe that the intervention of Buck Teeth Girls Club, with its ever growing natural and fantastic shapes will add an interesting new dimension to the walls
