And the tree is the being of the great rhythm, the true being of the annual rhythm. (Bachelard, 1990)

Lurdi Blauth is a Brazilian visual artist, producing in the area of printmaking, artist’s book, installation, alternative and less toxic media, addressing the concepts of matrix, image, repetition, print, multiple.

In her recent poetic production, various elements are present, such as trees, grasses, weeds, and different types of plants, which are given new meaning through the artist´s creative process and distinct graphic means. Investigations in the field of printmaking encompass procedures involving the concepts of matrix, image, repetition, printing, reproduction, and multiple, using digital photography to capture images and procedures that involve printmaking as printmaking, printmaking/object, and installations.

Trees (nature) have been a subject emphasized mainly for their ecological importance, vital for the existence of all living beings. On the other hand, they enchant with the immense richness of their forms, their cyclical states, always in movement and transformation. These are questions related to time/space, ephemeral/permanent. Time/ephemeral, in constant change, and space/permanent, in constant movement and transformation.

ARTIST STATEMENT

In recent productions, the series I call Porous Landscapes emerges, reflecting on the hybrid interactions of images and the possibilities of configuring other intersections in my graphic production. The work proposes distinct rhythms and movements in which marks and graphic elements are emphasized, revealing the presence of the temporality of a slower and more cyclical gesture, and areas where the landscape is captured in its porous permeability.

The concept of porosity dialogues with my urban displacements, whose surfaces of the city and nature suggest the presence of an unstable landscape and marks of time, whose layers are absorbed into my artistic practice. In this sense, I position myself as an artist in a porous state, open to re-signifying and activating other perspectives of poetic thinking and doing.

The Latin America's Paris

Buenos Aires is Argentine Republic's capital city. With 15,000,000 inhabitants, it is one of the largest cities in Latin America and one of the 10 most populous urban centers in the world. Its cosmopolitan and urban character vibrates to the rhythm of a great cultural offer that includes monuments, churches, museums, art galleries, opera, music and theaters; squares, parks and gardens with old groves; characteristic neighborhoods; large shopping centers and fairs. Here we also find a very good lodging facilities, with accommodation ranging from hostels to five-star hotels of the main international chains. Buenos Aires also show off about its variety of restaurants with all the cuisines of the world, as well as to have cafes and flower kiosks on every corner.

A neighborhood founded on the Jesuit farms in the 17th century

We are located in Colegiales neighborhood where the tree-lined streets, some of which still have their original cobblestones, invite you to walk. Although the apartment buildings advance, low houses still predominate. It is a district of the city where about 20 TV production companies, design studios, artist workshops and the Rock&Pop radio have been located. The neighborhood also has six squares, one of which pays homage to Mafalda, the Flea Market, shops, restaurants and cafes like its neighboring Barrios de Palermo and Belgrano, with which it limits.
