Roberto Celis

During the April , 2016 ´aceNITE, Roberto Celis made a performance in the Central Hall of Fundación´ace‘s studio, while the inauguration of the work of artists-in-residence Andrea Saltini (Italy), Rachel Tanugi Ribas (Brazil) and the inQubarte group took place.
During his Exploration Residency, Celis investigated through various languages: experimental music, engraving, writing and the creation of objects.
The whole process resulted in Letters, a performance in which by writing on a vinyl disc that was inked, the artist alluded to communication, to the difference between listening and hearing and evoked people who are no longer here but whose link is still very present. This writing is embodied not only in the noise produced by the scraping of the vinyl but in a paper on which Celis, after writing the letter, printed his words. It was a cathartic action, an action of calling and meeting.
