In August 2025, the C.O.P.I.A. Group (Organized Group for Imagining Actions) presented the installation POETIC VECTOR at Proyecto´ace’s Sala Políglota, a collective work that addresses memory, transit, and landscape as constructions traversed by multiple voices. The proposal was based on the biographical understood as a shared experience: repeated gestures and journeys that become traces. For C.O.P.I.A., this emotional pattern is a way of sustaining what one wants to remember. Thus, the installation is conceived as an affective cartography in which journeys, memories, and repetitions are transformed into visual language.
The exhibition consisted of two complementary parts:
On the one hand, a site-specific installation made in monocopy with large pieces displayed in the space. These pieces, composed of MDF figures, were held in a floating state at varying heights, some of them suspended from the ceiling of the room. Each form reproduces the journey of the group members from their homes to and from the Fina Estampa workshop (directed by Mariana Gayoso, who together with Leticia Barbeito coordinates the C.O.P.I.A. Group), where the group has its headquarters.
On the other hand, the editorial piece: a collective publication conceived as a map and emotional archive. This publication brings together graphic exercises by each member, rehearsing different ways of approaching the idea of mapping as a practice of shared memory. In the words of C.O.P.I.A.: “Our history is made up of fragments, repetitions, and multiple voices that run through us. Just as a polyglot speaks different languages, our collective identity is built from inherited phrases and copied gestures that become our own.”
