EXHIBITIONS

Seasons

01.12.2011 to 20.02.2012

During December  will be on view "Seasons", an exhibition by former artists-in-residence Sarah Tabbert (Alaska) and Andrew Donohoe (Tasmania, Australia). Mounted in "Espacio Dialogo" the show  introduces a collection of works made or donated during their respective residencies at  ‘ace workshops in 2010. These works are part of the  'ace collection.

Both Sarah and Andrew seek their inspiration in natural forms which results, in the case of the artist originally from Alaska, in abstract and organic compositions constructed through the superposition of woodcut  layers in different colors. Andrew, on the other hand, translates nature through cut lines that act as backgrounds for the flat black figures.

Adriana Moracci designed and mounted this exhibition with the aims to bring together artists who, even living in opposite extremes of the world, join common concerns about nature and also about printmaking techniques. The exhibition can be visited by appointment.
