Marcia de Moraes
20.08.2013 to 09.09.2013
"Marcia is notable for basing her work on drawing, a discipline not always recurrent in contemporary art. By the mean of large diptychs and polyptychs she creates abstract shapes -and at first sight strange- demanding the viewer some time to look from different distances and thus capture the details. The result justifies be patience. It is hard not to be intrigued by the balance between strength and delicacy gestures. Through the establishment of a kind of artist´s soul landscape the layers of colors give a feeling almost of figuration". JONAS LOPES
´ace is delighted to introduce Marcia de Moraes through Lopes´review. She is coming to make a residency at ´ace thanks to the generous support of the Ministry of Culture, Brazil Government and the Brazilian Embassy in Argentina.
