25.06.2018 to 29.06.2018

Lucilla works and researches upon the interpretation of artistic achievements, which arose from the need to investigate and understand tasks that are fulfilled through her own creative biography, and to create a series of paintings which extract an imaginarium of identity from the layers of archetypal forms of subconsciousness. Hermeneutics is used as the method of interpretation chiefly because it resembles in its nature the creative process and it is based on reaching into the hidden symbols and meanings in the pictorial image. Hermeneutics represents philosophical reflection which allows oneself to take distance. It also enables a distance needed for oneself to “give account of himself/herself” and form artistic self - interpretation.
