Graphic Park

20.08.2013 to 09.09.2013

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of Brazil and the Brazilian Embassy in Argentina, Eduardo Eloy will come soon together with all its fantastic imagery. While in Buenos Aires, he will be pursuing a project that he has been developing over the past two years."Graphic Park-Total Entertainment".

Regarding this work that will be deepen by Eloy during his residence in Buenos Aires, art historian  Luciana Eloy says:

"The choice of the title for this body of work is not a cause but a reflection of its meanings. Having fun is the motto of the order of a printmaking park that happens  not in the workshop  but in the world. The graphic sign is the artist's personal gesture, which is diluted and intertwined with other signs found in the remains of discarded materials in the streets, in the archives of images of the artist and of others, entering the creative scene as participants in this collaborative game engendered by Eduardo Eloy.

(...) In Graphic Park-Total Entertainment, he is not looking for the end of the process of creation, but the creation of this relational construction, provides a meeting resulting in the visual field. This is where Eloy plasma forms between floating fields of color, textures, symbols and matter. A physical space, son of the relational space, the result of creating a place inside and outside of the person, a space generated and generator of life, fun and meanings".

The idea of the project is to appropriate images through an experimental and symbolic process which involves the gathering of different types of trash to reconstruct and to recycle.

In this way,  the materials become both media and drivers for new images and are transformed into art work. My goal is to achieve a constant dialogue between the worked images, creating a discussion among the contrast of fragmented shapes and the space they occupy, creating new visual possibilities and different layers of meaning.
