Somethings Won´t...

09.10.2017 to 03.11.2017

When creating I am typically thinking about human interaction or isolation. The inspiration for my work comes from people watching, eavesdropping, and introspection. The process of remembering past situations is the foundation of my narratives. My intentions are to create works that are ambivalent and hypothetical, and at other times emphatic and fuelled by recollection.

The combination of representational and altered imagery is important in combining the aspects of my work that are inspired by external sources, with my emotional response to the depicted situation. The use of various media allows me to create an in-depth representation of myself and symbolise the multiple perspectives within every situation. My work incorporates figures, spaces, objects, and expressive mark making with the intent of creating more questions than answers, in order to evoke the viewer to reflect on themselves and their relationships with others.
