Shadows of the City

26.11.2018 to 21.12.2018

Aleksandra Ilkiewicz arrives at 'ace from the association that the' ace Foundation has with the Academy of Fine Arts of Lodz, institution where the artist studied, and with PATA (International Summer Courses -Printmaking and Textile Art).

Aleksandra works in collaboration with Przemek Hoffer. Duo realizes audio-visual projects in the areas of techno, deep techno and dub techno, and also prints metal types every day, looking for positive vibrations at the same time.
In this period of residence they will be working together on a new project called "SHADOWS OF THE CITY".

I am exploring issues related to the remediation of digital and analogue orders as well as indirectly existing noise consisting in creating interferences, making them an effect and an artistic subject in the publication of fanzines. I am looking for authentic and everyday experiences that I find on the streets of Buenos Aries. I consider graphic statement as a process in which it is not about understandable but about creative involvement.
