Born in Austria in 1967, is one of the main artists in the Department of Graphic Arts and Printmaking from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and Junior Research Professor at Webster University Vienna. Graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, earned a Master of Arts University of Tokyo.

On October 18th  at 3 pm we will have the opportunity to chat with him through video-conference and talk about his work along with Patricia Villalobos Echverría. The discussion will focur on the organization of international events in the field of printmaking. This format is quite interesting because it creates an easy-going encounter where exhange is being prioritize. The event is open to all audiences interested in the topic. Michael Schneider works as an artist mainly in the printmaking area. He is the founder and chef editor of im : print , an international magazine that talks about the current state of printmaking. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Michael has participated in numerous programs as a visiting artist, he also has organized exhibitions and curated international meetings. Michael keeps a close relationship with Japan, where he is actually part of the International Council for the 2nd Congress in Tokyo 2014 Moku Hanga.
